From Singing Solo Moms and students: My husband and I enrolled our extremely shy 6 year old in class after class trying to bring her out of her shell. It wasn't until we gave Singing Solo a try that we noticed a difference. The changes in her self confidence were almost immediate. She now can't wait to get to singing lessons, has numerous wonderful "Singing Solo" friends and is confident in all areas of her young life. About 2 1/2 years ago I was searching for a voice instructor for my 6 year old daughter Natalie, I wasn't sure where to start so I decided to search for one in the yellow pages. There were two instructors that caught my eye and they happened to both be in the La Mesa area and they also shared the same name, Kathy. I decided to give them both a call, neither one of them were available so I left a message. Kathy Horeth from Singing Solo returned my call first, and I am so glad she was the one that called back first, because she's amazing!!!! Kathy really cares about her students in every way you can think of, not only is she a caring teacher she's like family to us. Singing Solo has become a positive part in my daughter's life and mine as well. Thanks Kathy for being a great teacher and friend. I was in search of someone positive, outside my daughter's family, to guide her with her natural singing ability. Megan joined Singing Solo when she had just turned 6 years old. Kathy has been truly amazing. Her generousity, patience, and kindness is non-other then superb. She is like a second mom to Megan and anyone that knows me, knows that I am bit protective with Megan. Megan has been kept busy over the years with several prestigious events with tons of exposure, such as, The National Anthem at KSON, USD Basketball and USD Soccer games...Megan sang God Bless America at the City of Santee during 4th of July in front of 7000 people in attendance...San Diego County Fair, Boomers, Knotts Berry Farm, Seaport Village, Otay Ranch, several Old Folks homes and Military events, just to name a few more. Megan has no problem with public speaking or performances at the age of 10 years old. This is because of the massive amounts of exposure that Kathy works hard to arrange for all of the kids of Singing Solo. Not only the public events but she has an annual Christmas party and Summer bash for the group creating a strong bond between all of the singers. Kathy is one of a kind. Suzie

When I came to Singing Solo, I didn't really know what to expect. When I had a couple lessons I knew it was the right place for me. Kathy, the instructor, was very welcoming and supporting. She taught me how to have confidence in myself and want to perform to the audience. After a few shows I loved the adrenaline rush I got from singing on stage. Singing Solo offers many different places to perform at and is very professional when it comes to presence and wardrobe. I love Singing Solo and recommend it to anyone who is interested in singing.
